And Now, A Future Doctor!

Anestis and his family came to us from Greece after he was diagnosed with a germ cell tumor of the brain.  Because of the location and size of the tumor, it was not possible to remove it surgically.  Fortunately, Anestis’ tumor was very sensitive to radiation therapy, and after 6 weeks of treatment here in Boston his tumor began to shrink.  Today, Anestis is back home with his brother, and back at school.  On his yearly visits to the Jimmy Fund Clinic he shares pictures of his home with us, and his plans to become a doctor.  We have every reason to expect that he’ll reach his goal!

Children like Anestis travel from all over the world to the Jimmy Fund Clinic.  You can help support our effort to help children with cancer around the world.   Please click here to make a donation today in honor of Anestis and his remarkable journey.
