Samuel C. Blackman, MD, PhD is Associate Director of Experimental Medicine/Oncology at Merck Research Laboratories. He completed a combined pediatric hematology/oncology and pediatric neuro-oncology program at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Children’s Hospital Boston in 2007 and is currently focused on cancer drug discovery at Merck & Co., Inc. He and his wife, Julie McNeill, rode in the 2006 and 2007 Pan-Mass Challenge to raise money for pediatric oncology and neuro-oncology programs at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Together they raised over $130,000. They are taking a break this year because of the recent arrival of their daughter Anika. In 2009 they will resume riding in the PMC with the Pedals for Pediatrics Team.
This year, Sam and Julie are thrilled to be able to have Rebecca Hopkins ride in their place and for these amazing children. Please click here to make a donation to this important effort.
